Mission Statement of The Senior Challenge Committee
(Developed in September 2004)

The Mission of The Senior Challenge is to assist and encourage each senior to discover and explore at least one road of inquiry that he or she would like to pursue with greater effort, depth and interest. Whether it is athletic, artistic, academic, creative or service-oriented, we challenge our students to awaken in themselves a desire for discovery, which, if cultivated, will serve them well beyond Blair. To this end, the Senior Challenge Committee has charged the faculty with the task of challenging its seniors – especially in the post-college admission stages of their senior year – to commit themselves more fully to enriching the local and greater community through their personal involvement, and in so doing, stretch and extend their own potential and abilities.
