Admission Requirements for International Students

(Note: Students are advised to send only the application materials requested below.  Sending additional items will delay the processing of a student’s application.)

  1. Application Part 1 & Part 2 and Application Fee: International students are advised to fill out and submit their application online via the Blair website. The $125 application fee is payable online with a credit card. Interviews will not be scheduled until the application is received.  Students are advised to complete the student questionnaire and essay in their own words without outside help.

  2. Recommendation Forms (English, Math, Special Interest/Talent Form): Give your English and Math recommendations to your current teachers in those subjects. Your Special Interest/Talent Form is optional and may be completed by whomever you choose. The Parent Statement Form is optional.

  3. Official School Transcript: In order for us to obtain an official copy of your school transcript, you must sign the transcript request form and give it to your educational counselor. English translations are required.

  4. Test Scores: International candidates must take the TOEFL and the SSAT tests.
We do not accept faxed copies of test results.

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
Students applying for entrance should take the TOEFL which is administered several times a year in most foreign countries. You can inquire at your nearby American or International School, or the Consulate for information regarding the TOEFL. Our school code for the TOEFL test is 9415.

    SSAT (Secondary School Admission Test)
The SSAT is required of all applicants for the 9th, 10th, or 11th grades. Consult the enclosed SSAT bulletin for specific questions.  Our school code for the SSAT is 1720.

  5. Interview and Campus Tour: The applicant must visit our campus for an interview and tour.  Before setting up an appointment, we must receive TOEFL and SSAT scores for the applicant.  After reviewing these scores, and if they are acceptable, we will then set up an appointment. Decisions will not be made withoutcompletion of the campus visit.  Blair does not offer a comprehensive ESL program, thus a student must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing English.

Please note the following information:

Blair Academy does not offer financial aid to international students. If you require such monetary assistance, we advise you to investigate other school options.

Blair Academy issues I-20 forms only to those students who have been accepted and enrolled. I-20 forms will be sent after the initial tuition deposit is received by the school.
