Blair Basketball “Wednesday Workouts” 2011

WHO: Serious-minded male and female players (3rd graders to 10th graders)
WHERE: The recently built Blair Athletic complex – 3 brand new courts
WHEN: Each Wednesday from April 6th to May 18th. A total of seven Wednesdays 7:00-8:30 pm
WHY: Ideal for a player to hone his or her individual skills, to garner one-on-one attention, and to workout next to and against many of the area's best players.
GOALS: This camp will cater to the committed player who wants to improve his/her game both technically and tactically. We will specifically address shooting, individual offense and footwork, post play, ball-handling, setting and using screens, defensive footwork, improving basketball fitness and athleticism, and increasing basketball IQ.
TIME: 7:00-8:30 PM
COST: $175 for the 7 sessions of instruction; $125 for each additional sibling

7/12/11 - Blair coach has sent three to NBA
Before this week started, the closest tie Hunter Gallo had to the NBA was his New Jersey Nets jersey.

But by the end of today, the 9-year-old from Stillwater will have shared a few more connections.

Gallo, along with 91 other boys and girls attending the Buccaneer Fundamentals Basketball School at Blair Academy, got to learn the same techniques and drills that helped former Blair players Luol Deng, Charlie Villanueva and Royal Ivey make it to the NBA.
