Jordan Alston counted on to take the reins for Blair Academy

Jordan Alston should be a major contributor to Blair Academy this season as the Buccaneers seek to repeat as champs of the Mid-Atlantic Prep League and build off a second-place finish in New Jersey Prep A.

Blair Academy lost three players to graduation and Division I programs, but coach Joe Mantegna is confident Alston's recovery from a broken arm will enable the Bucs to stay in contention.

“This year is a culmination of a lot of work for Jordan,” Mantegna said. “He is a big, skilled wing who can shoot, pass and has a high basketball IQ. He is very comfortable with our system and is a good kid on all fronts.”
