Blair Football Players Sign
Letter of Intent
Four Blair football players signed letters of intent
on February 6 to attend their respective universities. Ed Imeokparia – Florida
State University; Greg Kafaf – Colgate University; Sean Rafferty – Bucknell
University; and Danny Sagan – Stonehill College; all played a major part
in the team’s successful 8 – 1 season this fall.
Ed Imeokparia is a two-year
player who excelled at cornerback and halfback. He was a lock-down corner
for the defense and a top rusher on offense with 8 touchdowns and a 7.9 rushing
average. He was also named First Team All MAPL and All NJ Prep State Defensive
Back both his junior and senior seasons. He will be playing defensive back
for the Florida State Seminoles next fall.
Greg Kafaf is post graduate
who was an outstanding two-way linemen this fall. He was a force on the offensive
line at tackle that averaged 9.4 yards per carry; he recorded 35 tackles
and 3 sacks at defensive tackle for Blair. He was named First Team All MAPL
and All NJ Prep State Defensive Linemen. Greg will be joining the Colgate
Raiders front line next fall.
Sean Rafferty is a post graduate
who was an excellent two-way player for Blair. He played safety on defense,
leading the team in tackles with 87, and played five different positions
on offense. This versatile player was awarded the Brooks Prize for excellence
by the coaching staff for his most valuable contributions. He was also named
First Team All MAPL and All NJ Prep State Defensive Back. Sean will be suiting
up for the Bucknell Bison next fall.
Danny Sagan is a four-year
player who has come through the Blair program as a quarterback. He was the
starter his junior and senior seasons and led the Buccaneers to the Big 3
Trophy this fall. Danny was an excellent field general for Blair and is headed
off to test his skills for the Stonehill Skyhawks.
