An Introduction to Blair Ice Hockey
The rich tradition of the Blair hockey program dates back to the 1940s. The modern hockey program was brought back into existence in 1998 and continues to give our students the opportunity to play ice hockey at a competitive level. The Blair hockey program offers athletes of various abilities a chance to develop their individual and teamwork skills in the fast paced arena of competitive ice hockey. Our program is dedicated to developing student-athletes to their full potential, on the ice and in the classroom.
The team practices or has games four days a week, in the prime afternoon ice-slots between 2 and 7 pm at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm, NJ. We compete against a number of other independent and public schools such as Kittatinny, Newton-Lenape, Vernon, High point, Fieldston, and Columbia Prep.
Blair hockey prides itself on building the character of young adults by teaching them that hard work, passion, and good sportsmanship are the keys to the enjoyment of athletics and life in general. Practices are designed to help players improve their individual skills as well as become better team players. The fundamental goal of the program is to prepare student-athletes for their futures in hockey, as well as, in life.
