The girls’ lacrosse season runs from the end of March through mid May.

Thank you for your interest in the Blair Academy Lacrosse program and welcome to our web page. The lacrosse team plays in two highly competitive leagues, the Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) and the New Jersey Prep League ‘A’ Division. We are also part of the Logan Division, which includes private and public schools in New Jersey. The 2005 season will be my fourth as head coach. My goal is to instill confidence in each player that I coach. Self-reliability and a sense of self-worth help players to understand and live up to their capabilities. Confidence allows athletes to be decisive in critical situations, and it builds team unity by providing the means for communication. I strongly believe team building begins with the individual.

The lacrosse team has been steadily improving over the course of the past few years. We finished the 2003 season with a record of 8-8 and the 2004 season 11-10. With nine returning seniors leading the team this year, we have high hopes for the 2005 season.

A team is successful when each member of the group is willing to see beyond the boundaries of possibility and aim further. It is a phenomenon when individuals accomplish something they thought was beyond their capabilities. This sort of achievement is attained through hard work, commitment, belief in self and belief in others.

Thank you again for your interest in the program. If you have any questions, please contact me: ernem@blair.edu.
