Thank you
for your interest in the Blair Academy lacrosse program,
and welcome to our Web page. The lacrosse team plays in
two highly competitive
leagues: the Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) and the New Jersey
Prep 'A' Division. The 2010 season is my tenth coaching the
team. My goal is to
instill confidence in each player I coach. Self-reliability
and a sense
of
self-worth help players to understand and live up to their
capabilities. Confidence allows athletes to be decisive in
critical situations, and it builds team unity by providing
the means for communication. I strongly believe team building
begins with the individual.
The lacrosse team has been steadily improving
over the course of the
past decade. We were very competitive in the Mid Atlantic Prep
league in
2007.
After graduating 14 seniors that spring, we have been working
to rebuild quickly. Over the course of the last 15 years, many
of our athletes have gone on to play lacrosse at schools such
as Columbia University, Cornell University, Colgate University,
William Smith College, Bates College,
and
Bowdoin College.
A team is successful when each
member of the group is willing to see beyond
the boundaries of possibility and aim further. It is a phenomenon
when
individuals accomplish something they thought was beyond their
capabilities. This sort of achievement is attained through
hard work, commitment, belief
in self and belief in others.
Again, thank you for your interest
in the program. Please let me know if
