Blair Tennis: 2011 Prep A Co-Champions!

The Blair boys’ varsity tennis team finished in a tie for first place with the Lawrenceville School in the NJ Prep A State Tournament, held Saturday, May 21, at Lawrenceville.

Led by dominating straight set victories at 2nd and 3rd Singles by senior co-captain Musyoka Mbithi (Succasanna, NJ) and junior Chris Sabaitis (Spring Lake, NJ).

Also reaching the tournament finals included senior co-captain Noah Joachim (Sparta, NJ), who fell in a heart-breaking three-set match to MAPL rival Chris Seitz of Hun, and the 1st Doubles team of sophomore Jeremy Joachim (Sparta, NJ) and Richie Jiaravanon (Bankok, Thailand), who fell in straight sets to a strong Lawrenceville team.

2011 marks the first time in coach Lew Stival’s 24-year tenure that Blair has earned the State Prep A title!
