2/24 - The Blair Ski Team raced in the NJISRA High School State Championships this past Sunday and Monday. The defending state champion, Blair sophomore Julia Brackup, came within two-tenths of a second of defending her state title. With an exceptional first run, Julia clocked in the fastest slalom run of the day. Her second run, however, was edged out by West Minister’s Dylan Marie Hyer, who went on to take the top spot in both the girls’ slalom and giant slalom events. In the GS event, Julia placed 7th out of 62 racers. Click for results.
For the boys, Kris Patane (slalom)and Boian Etropolski (giant slalom) earned top twenty finishes at the state meet. |
