2011-2012 Season

1/25 - Blair 9 - Princeton Day School 0
The Blair boys varsity squash team went to the Princeton Day School and came back to Blair victorious. Andrew Litvin, David Mascarenhas and Brian Brown won their matches easily showing great squash performances. Jason Zhang, George Green and Nic Ladd battled and won in three games demonstrating strength and skill. Colton Hardman had a very interesting match. Leading the first game, he lost the second one and came back on the third, but then lost the fourth one. The last game was decisive and after a great fight, Colton won the last game 13-11, therefore winning the match. Sam Giddins showed great performances too. He won after a good battle 3-1. Finally, Darrius Campbell won his match letting Blair win 9-0!


1/18 - Blair 2 - Hackley 5
The Blair boys varsity squash team went to Hackley School Wednesday. Brian Brown and Darrius Campbell won their matches, showing their strength and skill. George Green, Jason Zhang, Colton Hardman, Nic Ladd and Sam Giddins were defeated despite their great squash skills and unbreakable motivation.


1/14 - Blair 0 - Mercersburg 9
The Blair boys varsity squash team welcomed Mercersburg boys. Andrew Litvin, George Green and Jason Zhang had really tight matches in which they showed great efforts and great squash skills though they were defeated. In the other matches, great battles were seen but the Mercersburg team seemed more experienced.


1/12 - Blair 3 - Pingry 4
The Blair varsity boys' squash team welcomed Pingry for a tight match. David Mascarenhas won his match in three games. Brian Brown also confidently won his match. George Green won his match after four long and intense games. Jason Zhang lost his match despite great effort. Colton Hardman was defeated after four games in which he played extremely well. Nic Ladd, a powerful player, played with strength but was defeated. Sam Giddins, playing number one, demonstrated great effort despite he was defeated.


1/11 - Blair 2 - Lawrenceville 7
The Blair varsity boys welcomed the Lawrenceville boys on the Blair squash courts. Jack Jordon gave Blair the lead to start the match with a victory at number nine. Andrew Litvin was defeated by his opponent after a tough game. David Mascarenhas won his match showing the public his great squash skills. Brian Brown, despite great efforts, was defeated. George Green, an extremely tough player, had a wonderful match and lost after a great battle. Jason Zhang took the lead but eventually lost against more experienced player. Colton Hardman pleased the public with a long match, despite which he was defeated. Nic Ladd lost his match in three intense games showing his great squash skills. Sam Giddins, playing number one because Darrius was sick, was defeated although he demonstrated courage and will throughout the match.


1/7 - Blair 3 - Delbarton 6
Saturday afternoon the Blair Academy varsity squash boys played against Delbarton school. Despite starting with Jamie Stahlkrantz's injury and thus forfeit, great matches were seen on the Blair squash courts. David Mascarenhas won his match in only three games, showing great performances on the court. George Green also won his match in three games, playing with confidence and strength. Brian Brown showed good squash skills as he fought his opponent and took one game. Jason Zhang faced a tough opponent and lost despite his good game. Colton Hardman also fought a very experienced opponent and lost after really good points. Nic Ladd showed some outstanding performance on the court and lost his match after four long games. Sam Giddins's match was spectacular: Blair Academy alumni, Debarton parents and students enjoyed watching Sam fighting his opponent in a tough battle. Finally, for Darrius Campbell's match, the squash courts were filled with people thrilled to see Darrius win. After losing two games, Darrius fought back and won his match 11/4, 11/0 and 11/5. Blair team lost 3/6 but truly entertained the audience with beautiful matches.


12/10 - Blair 0 - Hackley 9
The Bucs had to face really strong opponents on the Hackley team, a few of which were both very tight and competitive. Nic Ladd lost his match despite a great fight against his opponent, taking one game in the match. George Green at the number seven position focused on the match and played as well as he possibly could. He took two games off of his opponent and proved to be a confident squash player. Finally, the most anticipated match was that of Darruis Campbell. Darrius fought hard against his opponent and after a superb shot from the latter, laughed. Then, the match took a friendly turn where the two great players had a lot of fun playing against each other. The Bucs fought hard, and will look forward to their next match after winter break.


12/7 - Blair 7 - Princeton Day School 0
On Wednesday the Blair varsity boys opened the season with a perfect win over Princeton Day School. George Green recorded the team's first win at the number seven position with a 3-0 victory over his opponent. Shortly after, Jason Zhang came off with another 3-0 win. Colton Hardman closed out his match with a tight 13-11 win in the third game. Darius Campbell, Sam Giddins, Nick Ladd and Brian Brown also defeated their opponents 3-0 at the first, second, third and fifth positions, respectively. The Bucs will host the Hackley School on Saturday December 10th at 1:00pm.
