5/7 - Blair Beats Peddie
Blair Buck, head track coach, reports on the following victory against Peddie on May 7: The win was a first in more than a decade, though not the first time ever. It was a great win for the girls and boys, particularly since the long weekend meant several people from each team were missing. The boys won 72 to 65, with Steve Anderson participating in four events and winning all four (high jump, long jump, triple jump and 4 x 400 relay). Stew Buck won three events (Javelin, 400, and 4 x400), while the distance team of Kiley Austin Young, Andrew Samuels and Tommie Huang took first and second in all the distance events. The girls won 70-48, with winning performances from Kath Brandwood in the 400 and 4x400, Kait Surdoval in the 100 and 200, Kat Newman in the hurdles, Kathy Kim in the pole vault and Rachel Tarrots in the Javelin.
