Cantus Comes to Campus

Cantus – a nine-man, a cappella chamber ensemble – performed at Blair on March 29 as part of the Bartow Series. From Gregorian chants, to works by contemporary artists such as Billy Joel, to folk songs from around the world, Cantus treated its audience to a variety of music produced by voice alone. According to the group’s Web site, they are “dedicated to exalting the human spirit through the performance of innovative and engaging musical programs... In addition to performing, Cantus champions male choral singing and encourages people of all ages to sing.” Posted 3/30/06
