News & Events 2005-2006 Dressed for Success on Peddie Week
During a week of “Dress Down Days” leading up to Peddie Day, students were free to have some fun and veer from the usual dress code to drum up school spirit. To that end, the Senior Class Council decreed that Monday was Pajama Day; Tuesday, Clash Day (stripes with plaid, etc.); Wednesday, Rock Star Day; Thursday, Decades Day (grade 9 dressed for the ’90s, grade 10 for the ’60s, grade 11 for the ’50s and grade 12 for the ’80s) and finally, Friday was Blair Wear Day when everyone dressed in blue and white or Peddie Day T-shirts.
In addition to changing their looks, students had a chance to deviate from the usual routine and participate in the Senior Dinner, dorm competitions and the “Roommate Game.” They also created and hung banners (and bras!), swiped the bear from Mr. Hardwick’s hallway and took it for a car ride, and even burned a chicken (symbolic of the Peddie Falcons) in Dr. Sayers’ chemistry class.
