Alumna and Coach Honored at School Meeting

Rita Bucarey ’78, who has served in the student affairs office for the past seven years and as assistant hockey coach for the past five years, was recognized for her contributions to Blair athletics by Athletic Director Jim Stone during School Meeting on January 29. Such recognition is presented to coaches who have served the school for at least five years and are moving on; Rita bid farewell to Blair at the end of January.

Rita, who received a standing ovation from the entire Blair community, is the mother of Ethan ’03 and Lara ’06. Head field hockey coach Melissa (Paul) Erne ’96 lauded Rita for her work as a coach and mentor.
