Convocation Marks Start of New School Year

Blair’s convocation – a combination of worship service and assembly – officially marks the beginning of the new school year. Traditionally held in the First Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Blairstown (as are Vespers and Baccalaureate), the event is a formal affair. This year, for the first time, the student body formed a processional and walked together to the church. Since students were already dressed in their finest, Candy Low took advantage of the opportunity beforehand to snap class photographs. Along with Headmaster Chan Hardwick, this year’s convocation speaker was Jared Platt ’07. Updated 9/21/06
