Blair Participates in Annual NF Walk-a-Thon
The 13th Annual NF (Neurofibromatosis) Walk-a-Thon was held May 12 in Blairstown at Walnut Valley Field. NF is one of the most common genetic conditions and can affect anyone, regardless of family history, race, gender or ethnic background. Along with the exercise of the four-mile run/walk, there were refreshments, specialty baked goods and a flower sale, and, as the organizers note, “a good feeling in the air!”
Kaye Evans, advisor for Blair’s community service group, rallied a group of Blair participants, while faculty members and housemasters Ryan and Jen Pagotto organized their dorm of girls in South Cottage to participate in the NF walk. The Graupe family, whose children are current and past members of the Blair community, have been affected by NF and appreciate all the support given by the School to this cause; Brian Graupe is pictured.
