Players Nominated for Seven Awards
 Craig Evans, chair of the performing arts department, is pleased to announce that the Blair Academy Players’ winter musical production of Guys & Dolls garnered seven Freddy Awards nominations, as announced on May 8 by the State Theatre in Easton, Pa. These honors recognize high school musical theatre in Lehigh Valley, Pa. and Warren County, N.J. The State Theatre’s awards program is designed to recognize and reward exceptional accomplishments in the production and performance of musical theatre in local high schools.
The nominations are as follows: Best Solo – Taylor McKay; Best Featured Dancer – Michael Breslin; Best Ensemble Member (Male) – Todd Lewis; Best Ensemble – J.P. Bowditch/Michael Breslin/Todd Lewis; Best Production Number – “Sit Down, You’re Rockin’ The Boat;” Best Featured Actor – Andrew Hutcheson; Best Production by a Smaller School. Awards will be presented on May 22nd at the State Theater.
