“MAPPINGS” Exhibit Opens
 Ro Lohin (pictured) and Kevin Wixted are the featured artists in the Romano Gallery now through March 3. An opening reception was held February 7. Gallery hours are Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Their exhibit entitled, “MAPPINGS,” reflects their travel to many locations over the past 20 years. With each excursion they pack watercolors, paint, notebooks and cameras, immersing themselves in a foreign culture with open eye and mind. The artists explain that in countries as diverse as Brazil, Mexico, Ireland, Italy and Morocco, they strive to be absorbed by the particular aspects of each location and civilization. The results are an artistic travelogue of sorts, containing the specific light, color and spirit of each place as seen through the individual aesthetic of these New York painters.
