Skeptics Features Life of a Journeyman Actor

Actor Phil Levy was the featured speaker/performer at the January 15 Society of Skeptics program, which focused on how an aspiring actor found out what he wanted to do in life; he describes it as “a fascinating, humorous, heartbreaking and ultimately fulfilling journey.”

Levy presented two monologues from the plays, Inherit the Wind, in which he plays a defense attorney arguing for the teaching of evolution in schools, and The Exonerated (cases of death row inmates who have been exonerated), in which he portrays a southern bigoted prosecutor using the audience as a jury.

Levy has appeared in many movies, including films by Woody Allen, as well as Sleepless in Seattle, to name but a few. He has also appeared in television shows such as Law & Order/Criminal Intent, Sex and the City and The Equalizer. His theatrical career includes roles in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, A Christmas Carol and Kiss Me Kate, among numerous other productions.
