Registration Information for “Back to Blair”

Blair Academy’s 160th school year is upon us, with registration information listed below. We look forward to meeting new faces and welcoming back former students and families. Note that due to ongoing construction, the golf course entrance to campus is closed. Please use the main entrance on Park Street, through the stone gates and up the hill.

Football Pre-Season Registration
For the first six nights of football, all football players will stay in Insley and the Flight Deck. On Monday, we will help you move to your permanent rooms if they are in other dormitories. Day students will move back home on Monday.

Welcome! Please follow the steps outlined below.

1. Get your dorm assignment and parking instructions at entrance.
2. Park … leave belongings in car.
3. PROCEED TO HEALTH CENTER WHERE YOU WILL BE GIVEN YOUR REGISTRATION CARD. You must keep this registration card with you through out the registration process in order to get your course schedule.
4. Proceed to Clinton Hall to check forms, have photo to taken for ID/Debit Card, get schedule and books, etc. (If your registration card has not been approved by the Business Office, your first step in Clinton must be at the Business Office on the bottom floor.)
5. Proceed to dormitory where you will be given your room key.

Parents … please note: There will not be general orientation/information meetings in dorms for parents today. Parents of new day students are encouraged to return for a meeting with the Headmaster on Friday, September 7 at 1:00 PM in Cowan Auditorium (Bogle Hall, our math/science building). Parents of boarders who live nearby enough are encouraged to return for orientation meetings that begin in dormitories at 1:15 PM on Monday, September 10. And of course all parents are cordially invited to a reception at the Headmaster’s home between 3:00 and 4:00 PM on the 10th.

STUDENTS AND PARENTS: The schedule which follows represents our attempt to combine business and pleasure in welcoming you (and welcoming you back) to Blair. New students and their parents are reminded that “veterans” are here as well; please don't hesitate to ask questions or to let us know how we can be of assistance in any way.

AT THE HEALTH CENTER YOU WILL GET A REGISTRATION CARD. YOU MUST KEEP THIS CARD WITH YOU THROUGHOUT THE REGISTRATION PROCESS IN ORDER TO GET YOUR COURSE SCHEDULE.

NEW DAY STUDENTS and their PARENTS are asked to meet with Mr. Hardwick at 1:00 PM in Cowan Auditorium (in Bogle Hall, Blair’s Math/Science building). You may register after the meeting.

Proceed to assigned day student area where you will be given your room or locker key.

All day students are reminded to be at school on Monday, September 10 in time for a 4:00 PM meeting in Cowan Auditorium. Class Meetings, a meeting with the Headmaster, and a picnic supper will follow. They will be free to leave by 7:00 PM Casual attire is fine for the day.

Day parents are cordially invited to a reception on Monday, September 10 at the Headmaster’s home, between 3:00 and 4:00 PM. Please note ... since you are registering today, you are not required to go to the All-Parent Meeting at 2:00 PM on Monday, September 10, but are welcome to attend. The meeting will focus on issues relating to boarding students.

New students may purchase books today from 8:30 AM-12:30 PM. Returning students may purchase books from 1:00-4:00 PM. The Bookstore will remain open until 7:00 PM. You must have your Debit/ID card in order to get books.
