Blair Begins 161st School Year
Welcomes New Members

The 161st school year officially opened for the Blair community on Wednesday, August 27, with cocktails at Sharpe House and dinner in the Romano Dining Hall. Headmaster Chan Hardwick introduced Blair’s new faculty (see photo, right) and recognized both faculty and staff members celebrating 10 and 25 years of service to the school. Honorees included Debbie Gordon (see photo below) and Rob Merrifield who have served for 25 years, and Jackie Class, Chris Cogswell, Edwidge Dorelien, Steven Kampmann, Bob Rader, Ryan Spring and Lois Stival who celebrate 10 years.

Debbie and Rob received original watercolor paintings by local artist Jan Swift, while 10-year veterans received a Windsor chair, handcrafted by Frederick Duckloe and Bros., Inc., complete with an inscribed brass plaque noting their dates of service.
