The Blair community gathered in front of Blair Commons on May 8 to dedicate this beautiful new facility and honor the leadership donors whose contributions helped fund its renovation. Headmaster Chan Hardwick thanked each of them and particularly recognized the Romano family whose early and generous support made Blair Commons a reality. Chan noted that their family values, philanthropy and community spirit are inherent in their gift of the Commons, which has become the heart of community life on campus in the six weeks since its opening.

The celebration continued at Blair’s annual leadership dinner where Dr. Rick Clarke was honored upon his retirement after 38 years as Blair’s science department chairman. Donors who established endowed funds during the Ever Always Campaign were also recognized. Since the beginning of the Campaign, a remarkable $12 million has been added to Blair’s endowment, $7.5 million of which is designated for scholarship aid. Blair is grateful for these gifts to its endowment, as they represent an investment in the School’s most valuable resources—its students, teachers and programs.
