Temporary Donor Wall in Place

The new Student Activity and Athletic Center, apropos of its name, abounds with activity as construction crews add finishing touches, including the donor recognition wall. Recently installed at the heart of the new facility where the Athletic Center meets the Student Center, the three-foot-by-nine-foot wall lists the names of nearly 200 donors who have already contributed $25,000 or more over the course of the Campaign. These leadership donors have set the pace for Ever Always: The Campaign for Blair Academy.

The wall currently on display is a temporary piece, representing gifts received as of November 1, 2008. At the conclusion of the Ever Always Campaign on June 30, 2009, a wall commemorating all Campaign leadership gifts will be etched in glass and permanently installed. Beneath the Ever Always logo at the plaque’s center, the inscription reads:

Blair Academy gratefully honors the leadership support of these contributors. Their gifts, and the generous gifts of all our loyal donors, helped to raise $50 million in support of new facilities, endowment growth and educational excellence. Blair Academy will, ever always, be strengthened by the success of this campaign. June 30, 2009

Director of Development Monie Hardwick notes, “In spite of the challenging economy, the Blair family continues to respond generously to the needs of the School. As of March 1, $47.5 million has been raised toward the Campaign’s $50 million goal. With everyone’s participation, we will reach our final goal by June 30. Please make your Blair Fund gift today, in any amount, and be a part of this historic fund-raising effort for the School.”
