Environmental Science Students Aid Local Township
Under the direction of environmental science teacher Rob Merrifield, students have helped locate storm drains in the downtown Blairstown area using a GPS unit purchased by the Environmental Commission with a grant from the Warren County Environmental Commission. These storm drain locations will be entered into the township’s Geographic Information Systems (GIS) maps to show both the connections between storm drains and where the storm water drains. The students’ work provides important information to the township engineer and others, at no cost to the township.
