Actor Alumnus Featured in Documentary
Most Valuable Players, the documentary film shot by CanyonBack Films during the 2008 FREDDY© Awards program (the State Theatre’s awards program honoring high school musicals) features Todd Lewis ’08. Todd won a Freddy in the category of “Outstanding Performance By A Male Ensemble Member” for his role as Nicely-Nicely Johnson in Blair’s production of Guys & Dolls. Each year, the Blair Academy Players garner their fair share of nominations in this awards program. This year, their winter musical, Once Upon a Mattress, was entered; the 2010 nominations will be announced on Thursday, May 13.
Most Valuable Players will be shown in a special advanced screening at the State Theatre Center for the Arts, Easton, the home of the FREDDY© Awards, on Friday, April 16, at 8:30 p.m. The movie will then be shown around the country at various film houses and theatres.
