Learning a New Art Form: Glass Blowing

Since late April, nine Blair students have been learning to blow glass with Blairstown area resident Wick Mott. Students spend one night a week creating a host of new forms, from paperweights to small vessels. Both students and teachers – Susan Morley and Kate Sykes – have enjoyed the opportunity to work with a new art form. As Kate said, “We learned a lot from Mr. Mott – a most informative and enthusiastic teacher!” The opportunity was made possible by an anonymous gift to the art department.
