Blair Blanketed by Heavy Snowfall
Italian author and poet Pietro Aretino said, “Let us love winter, for it is the spring of genius.” The heaviest snowfall to hit Blair yet this winter arrived on February 10, prompting an extra hour of sleep for students the next morning. (After all, even geniuses need their sleep!) Though these photos were taken before additional accumulations, they are a true indication of just how beautiful a blanket of snow can be on campus. School photographer Candy Low braved the elements, snapping these photos of students on their way to class. Later they enjoyed the chance to play, of course, as Blair offers plenty of slopes for sledding and wide-open spaces for simply enjoying winter’s splendor.
