George P. Jenkins ’32, Former Board Chairman, Dies
Devoted 50 Years of Service to Blair
Former Chairman of the Blair Board of Trustees George P. Jenkins ’32 died on October 14 at the age of 94. A graduate of Princeton University and The Harvard Graduate School of Business, he enjoyed a long and distinguished career with The Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, ultimately serving as chairman of the board. He joined the Blair Board of Trustees in 1959 and served continuously for 50 years. Forthright, pragmatic, yet always positive and enthusiastic, his leadership as Chairman of the Blair Board of Trustees from 1978 to 1986 had a profound impact on the School.
