Concession Stand Named by Rhea Family
On the eve of his Blair graduation, Terence Rhea ’10, his parents, Robert and Patricia Rhea, grandfather, Fred L. Turner, and family friends dedicated the athletic complex concession stand. Terence named it “The R&R,” for rest and relaxation.
“There is always so much activity in this area,” Terence remarked. “Football games, tennis matches, kids cheering in the stands – I wanted The R&R to be a place that would provide refreshments and a bit of calm amid all the action. People can gather here and just kick back for a little while.”
Headmaster Chan Hardwick thanked the Rheas and Mr. Turner for their generous support of the School, and Terence, in turn, thanked his parents and grandfather for making his four-year Blair education – and the gift of the concession stand – a reality. “I’m happy to have my name on this sign,” Terence said. “When I come back 10 or 20 years from now, I’ll remember what a great experience I had at Blair.”
