Blair Alumnus Drafted by Philadelphia Eagles

Dion Lewis ’09 is a Philadelphia Eagle after being selected Saturday, April 30, in the fifth round of the NFL Draft. Dion’s size and speed were often questioned along the way, but while he was here at Blair, he was named New Jersey Prep Offensive Player of the Year, as well as MAPL Offensive Player of the Year.

Head football coach Jim Stone had this to say about his former player’s well-deserved success. “We are thrilled for Dion. He is a great talent and an even harder worker. Dion has worked so diligently over many years to prove himself on the field, even when many thought he wouldn’t be good enough or that he was too small. He has thrived on the challenge to prove he belongs with the best. It is an honor for us at Blair to know that one of our guys will be represented in the NFL.”
