Apple Picking for Local Food Banks

Following the success of last year’s apple picking for Grow a Row, 18 Blair students, along with Eric and Penn Lunger, returned to Longmeadow Farm on Sunday October 8. Grow a Row organizes volunteers to gather fresh produce, such as apples, which is then distributed to local food banks by Farmers Against Hunger. The warm autumnal weather helped facilitate the collection of hundreds of apples by the students.
