“China” is Topic at Society of Skeptics

On Tuesday, November 29 the Society of Skeptics welcomed Lehigh University associate professor Vera Fennell who spoke on “China.” Dr. Fennell received her Ph.D. in political science at the University of Chicago writing on Maoist women’s policy. Her graduate thesis was on the ERA and the Rehnquist Court, and her undergraduate thesis at Princeton focused on the women’s liberation movement in China. Dr. Fennell has also taught at the University of Minnesota and Colorado College. Her interest in the role of state in transnational culture and identity began when working with theChinadivision of Human Rights Watch.
