Skeptics Features ABC Producer Seni Tienabeso ’01
On Tuesday, October 25, the Society of Skeptics featured Blair alumnus Seni Tienabeso ’01. He spoke about citizen journalism and how individuals can influence and transform the news. For the last four years, Seni has worked as a producer for ABC News covering breaking stories both domestically and abroad. He has produced news stories for Good Morning America, World News with Diane Sawyer, Nightline and other ABC affiliates across the country. Prior to his work at ABC, Seni worked as an investigative and features producer for the CBS affiliate in Baltimore.
Seni turned to a career in the media after travelling to South America while at Emory College. Using his own camera, he shot an award-winning independent documentary film that helped break him into the industry.
All Skeptics programs are free and open to the public. The weekly series, which has been in continuous existence since 1977, is one of the premier high school lecture series in the country. The program was an outgrowth of the Blair International Society, begun in 1962, and has served as a forum for the discussion and debate of important national and international issues. Over the past 30-plus years, under the tutelage of Dr. Martin Miller, the series has featured a wide variety of speakers who are engaging, accomplished in their respective fields and often controversial.
