Admission Director Speaks at TABS Conference

Dean of Admission Ryan Pagotto served as a faculty member and presenter for The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS) summer conference in Boston from July 19-22. The conference attracts admission officers and communications directors from boarding schools across the country. This summer’s focus was on admission and marketing strategy with presentations and breakout discussions on strategic budgeting, the international and domestic markets, mobilizing human capital, tuition and financial aid, developing a digital strategy, serving families through the web, and how social media is reshaping boarding school search and selection.

The annual conference was held at Boston University; other presenters included Peter Upham, executive director of TABS; Kathy Hanson from Marts and Lundy, a consulting firm for non-profits; Patti Crane from Crane MetaMarketing, a communications firm; Michael Gary from Phillips Exeter Academy ; Barbara Kennedy from Baylor School; Louisa Zendt from St. Andrew’s; Tom Sheppard from Stevenson School, and Peter Baron from the boarding school search engine, AdmissionsQuest.
