Parents Help Decorate for a Night in Vegas

The Blair dining hall was transformed into a Vegas casino decked out with hearts, diamonds, spades and clubs for this year’s Sadie Hawkins Dance on Saturday, January 28. Parent volunteers decorated with poker chips, dice, money trees, a statue of Elvis, spinning wheel, balloon arch and a jackpot area where students had their pictures taken.

Sue Habermann, director of parent relations, said, “This year’s group of parent volunteers outdid themselves with creativity, organization and cooperation. I was amazed at how quickly everything came together. The dining hall looked terrific. I would like to thank everyone who made decorations, sent in items or helped decorate.”

A special thank you goes to Debbie DeVenny, Pat Sagan, and Val Tozzi for coordinating Night in Vegas and to Louise VanDerHaeghen and Kathy Jameson for making 30 money tree centerpieces for the tables.
