It has been an exciting time on campus this past month with Arts Weekend, the prom, commencement, and students saying goodbye to each other and to another school year. As students leave, alumni spanning 73 class years return for Alumni Weekend on June 10-12. Your student’s medical paperwork is due to the Health Center by JULY 15. Make his or her doctor appointment AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. PARENT PARTICIPATION
For the last two years parent participation in the Blair Fund (Blair Fund, Annual Fund, and Parent Fund are all one and the same) has remained near 75%. This is an extraordinary achievement and one that few boarding schools attain. But we aren’t there yet for this year…so please make your Blair Fund gift no later than JUNE 30 by clicking

Look for an informative article, concerning what you and your child need to be doing this summer in preparation for college, in the next issue of the Parents’ Post. Items include: timeline, college Web sites, etc. The Post will be mailed with the grades next week.

CRAIG AND KAYE EVANS CONTRIBUTE TO NEWSWEEK ARTICLE
The cover feature of a recent Newsweek article on the Current Generation of College Parents discusses baby boomer parents and their children. Blair faculty Craig and Kaye Evans, members of the Dickinson College Parents’ Council, helped write the quiz, "Are you a Helicopter Parent?" CAR RAFFLE TICKETS SOLD OUT
For the first time ever, we have sold all 999 tickets for the Parents’ Annual Car Raffle! Many Blair parents have purchased or sold tickets to their friends, relatives and neighbors. This year’s car, a 2006 PORSCHE BOXSTER, will hopefully be sitting in a lucky Blair parent’s driveway next week. The drawing will be held on Alumni Weekend, June 10. Look for the announcement of the winner on the Blair Web site the week of June 12. A special thank-you goes out to Gail Tannenhaus P’07, Car Raffle Chair, and to all the parents who helped with this year’s fundraiser. We couldn’t have done it without you.

And in conclusion, a HEARTFELT THANK YOU to all the parents and families who have supported the School and volunteered in so many ways this year. Blair is a great school for so many reasons…and you are one of them.
