DEAR BLAIR PARENTS AND FAMILIES,
This bi-monthly electronic newsletter contains information concerning upcoming events and other items of interest to Blair parents and families. To further keep you informed, you will be receiving three issues of the Parents’ Post and the Blair Bulletin in the mail this year. I also suggest that you visit “Important Dates” (located at the bottom right section of the Parents’ page on the Blair Web site www.blair.edu). ATHLETICS

Varsity Boys’ Basketball Game
Friday, December 2, 7:30 pm, Blair’s Walker Gymnasium

Boys’ Basketball Tournament
Saturday-Sunday, December 10 and 11, Blair’s Walker Gymnasium

The Blair Academy Coaches vs. Cancer Tournament will feature some of the nation’s top players from some of the best East Coast prep schools playing high-level basketball. Many of the players competing in the tournament will also compete at area colleges and universities in the future.

SOCIETY OF SKEPTICS

Melinda Perkins-Witter ’77, from the Center of Global Peace, will discuss “The Kurds.”

Recent Duke graduate, Adam Sampieri ’99, actor, director and playwright will speak about “The World of Performing Arts.”

Holidaze - Faculty Play
Thursday-Saturday, December 8, 9 and 10, 7:30 pm, Wean Theatre

An original series of Christmas and Hanukkah pieces by Craig Evans, performing arts chair, and Adam Sampieri ’99 takes a sometimes funny, sometimes serious look, at the holiday season. Proceeds will go to The Kurt Socha Fund in memory of Kurt Socha ’06.

Holiday Concert
Friday, December 9, 7:00 pm, Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts
Get in the mood for the holidays with student instrumental and vocal music and dance performances.

Christmas Vespers
Sunday, December 11, 4:30 & 7:00 pm, First Presbyterian Church, Blairstown

4:30 pm service for Freshmen/Sophomores and 7:00 pm service for Juniors/ Seniors. Please join the Blair community for our traditional Christmas Vespers. Included will be music and readings by members of the Blair community.

Christmas Dinner
Sunday, December 11, 5:50 pm, Blair Dining Hall

Required for Boarders. Day students are welcome, but they need to sign up in the Student Affairs Office by December 8.

Alumni Hockey Game

Mark your calendar now to come watch or participate in the annual Blair/Alumni Hockey Team Face-Off!
