Blair College Office Spring 2011 Update

The Blair College Fair
The Blair College Office will host the fifth annual Blair Spring Fair on the evenings of April 27 and 28 from 7-8:30 p.m. in the fieldhouse in Hardwick Hall. With over 40 colleges and universities from all parts of the country and the UK in attendance each night, the fair is a great opportunity for our juniors and interested sophomores to learn more about a wide-ranging and impressive group of schools. Parents are welcome to attend the fair or sit in on the workshops that we have planned from 7-8 p.m. each evening. On Wednesday, John Leach from Davidson College will speak on financial aid, and on Thursday, there will be a Q & A session on selective college admissions. June SATI/II Reminder
Remember that if your son or daughter plans on sitting for the June SAT I/II, he or she should register for a test site near to your home. Please contact the College Office with questions.

Summer Visits
The summer is a great time to see schools. We encourage you and your child to get to see as many colleges as possible during the summer in an effort to help finalize your son or daughter's list. Remember to call to arrange interviews/information sessions/campus tours at all the schools you hope to visit. Doing so is an important part of demonstrated interest that colleges sometimes use to assess a student's seriousness about a school!
