Jazz Ensemble is comprised of students who are committed to performing jazz music to the highest standard. In this group, students focus on good ensemble playing, improvisation and an understanding of jazz scales, chords and theory. The group performs in at least three major concerts a year, in addition to performing in smaller venues such as formal receptions and open houses. The ensemble meets during the academic day for credit. An audition is required for admission to the group.
