Our endowment
is an investment in the future, ensuring we can pursue our
essential mission in perpetuity. A strong endowment gives
us confidence to plan and make strategic long-term decisions
on a foundation of financial security.
Today, Blair’s
endowment stands at $65.7 million—impressive
when you consider it totaled just $12 million in 1988. Yet,
the reality is that Blair was a latecomer to endowment-building:
This means Blair relies more heavily on tuition to meet everyday
needs than other schools.
Specifically, we seek to increase
scholarship aid for students and salary support and academic
enrichment for the faculty. In building Blair’s endowment, we invest in the School’s
most valuable resources—its students and teachers.
