Blair Holds 11th Annual Spring College Fair

Posted: April 14, 2017

Representatives from more than 80 colleges and universities are expected at Blair’s 11th annual Spring College Fair, to be held on Wednesday and Thursday, April 19 and 20, in Hardwick Hall’s field house. From 7 to 8:30 p.m. each evening, students and parents are invited to meet admission officers from schools in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom, and learn about the programs, majors and more offered by individual institutions.

While sophomores are more than welcome to attend the College Fair, Dean of College Counseling Lewis Stival especially recommends the event for juniors. “Juniors can jump start their college application process at the College Fair,” Mr. Stival noted. “They will meet the admission officers who will eventually read their applications, and this is an opportunity to make a good first impression. Students can also pick up information in their conversations with college representatives that can’t be found on websites or in viewbooks. We’re very fortunate to host the College Fair each year.”

Blair’s college counselors will be on hand each evening to answer questions from parents about the college admission process, and students, parents and guidance counselors from area high schools are welcome to attend. For more information about the College Fair, please contact Rachel Byrne, college counseling administrative assistant, at (908) 362-6121, ext. 5620, or email byrner@blair.edu.
