Excitement Is Building for Blair’s CIC

Posted: May 10, 2017

As the 2016-2017 school year draws to a close, construction of the Center for Innovation and Collaboration (CIC) continues on Blair’s hilltop this spring, and work will continue into the summer, in anticipation of the new building opening its doors in fall 2017.

Excitement has been building all spring, as the community witnessed much construction progress, like the full enclosure of the CIC and the placement of large windows on all sides. Installation of the slate roof, which will match those of its neighbors, Lakeside and Kathryn Halls, and other iconic Blair buildings, like Locke and Insley Halls, is also underway this month.

Blair’s advancement office has continued fundraising for the Forward Thinking Campaign, noted Chief Advancement Officer Craig Hall. Funds raised will aid the construction of the CIC, the renovation of Bogle Hall and a refurbishment of Weber Hall.
