Welcome to the Fine and Performing Arts section of the website, where you can find descriptions of all of Blair’s music and theatre offerings, as well as art exhibit and performance schedules. 

Blair’s performing arts series presents groups from the Blair community and the outside arts world. Most performances are open to the public, with general seating available. No reservations or advance ticket sales are necessary unless otherwise indicated.


  • Annual Student Art Exhibition: A ‘Wonderful Culmination’ of Artwork

    The artwork of 75 fine arts students is now on display in the Annual Student Art Exhibition, which opened April 30 in The Romano Gallery. Showcasing projects from all levels of drawing, painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture and graphic arts classes, the annual show highlights the hard work and dedication of Blair’s talented fine artists.

  • Senior Performances & European Repertoire Highlight Spring Concert

    An exciting year of musical performances reached its crescendo when Blair’s vocal and instrumental musicians presented their final concert of 2014-2015 on April 30 in Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts. Fresh from their spring break tour of Italy and Austria, the Orchestra and Singers offered works from their European repertoire, including Frescobaldi’s Toccata and a combined rendition of Vivaldi’s Gloria, as well as notable pieces by American and Russian composers. “It’s truly great music,” said Blair’s Chair of Performing Arts Jennifer Pagotto, who, along with Director of Vocal Music Nate Widelitz, led nearly 100 student musicians in the evening’s concert.

  • Blair Dancers Grace the Stage in Recital Performance

    Student and faculty dancers showcased their artistry for the entire School community at an April 23 dance recital in Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts’ DuBois Theatre. Organized by sophomores Jane Fitzpatrick ’17 and Ellie Chi ’17, the event featured performances by student groups, a Zumba class and several individual dancers.
