Welcome to the Fine and Performing Arts section of the website, where you can find descriptions of all of Blair’s music and theatre offerings, as well as art exhibit and performance schedules. 

Blair’s performing arts series presents groups from the Blair community and the outside arts world. Most performances are open to the public, with general seating available. No reservations or advance ticket sales are necessary unless otherwise indicated.


  • Video Studies Director Lectures at Rochester Institute of Technology

    Nina Yuen, who joined Blair's faculty as director of video studies in 2010, gave a lecture to aspiring artists at Rochester Institute of Technology on April 17. Throughout the evening program, Ms. Yuen screened a number of her videos, dating from 2006 to her most recent works, as well as engaged in a question-and-answer session with the audience.

  • Advanced Course Explores High-Level Repertoire & Asks Students to Compose Original Works

    For students looking to expand their study and exploration of the choral and orchestral arts, Blair offers an advanced musicianship course in which upper-level instrumentalists and singers study music theory, analyze a breadth of classical repertoire and develop skills to conduct these works in front of an ensemble. The course culminates in an opportunity for students to compose and perform original works.

    Blair’s fine arts department is pleased to host the fifth-annual Mid-Atlantic Prep League (MAPL) Art Show from April 15-28 in Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts’ Romano Gallery.
