Welcome to the Fine and Performing Arts section of the website, where you can find descriptions of all of Blair’s music and theatre offerings, as well as art exhibit and performance schedules. 

Blair’s performing arts series presents groups from the Blair community and the outside arts world. Most performances are open to the public, with general seating available. No reservations or advance ticket sales are necessary unless otherwise indicated.

  • Blair Student Artists Contextualize Work at NYC Museums

    More than 20 Blair students and faculty members traveled into New York City on December 3 to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Museum of Modern Art. Although the off-campus excursion involved four different classes—art history, drawing and painting, video and contemporary art, and ceramics—the group collectively focused on contextualizing their understanding of art and becoming literate museum goers.

    Blair musicians were hard at work practicing the classical repertoire they learned over the course of the fall semester, as well as a selection of holiday favorites, which were performed on Sunday, December 7, at the Musikfest Café at ArtsQuest’s SteelStacks Entertainment Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

    Blair’s instrumental and vocal musicians took center stage in Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts’ DuBois Theatre on November 20, for the School’s annual Fall Concert. A varied repertoire of classical, jazz and lyrical works was performed by members of the School’s Orchestra, Jazz Ensemble, Chamber Choir and Singers. In total, nearly 100 students participated in the concert.
