Welcome to the Fine and Performing Arts section of the website, where you can find descriptions of all of Blair’s music and theatre offerings, as well as art exhibit and performance schedules. 

Blair’s performing arts series presents groups from the Blair community and the outside arts world. Most performances are open to the public, with general seating available. No reservations or advance ticket sales are necessary unless otherwise indicated.


  • Seniors Lauded for Accomplishments at End-of-Year Prize Assembly

    On May 18, the School community gathered in Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts to recognize contributions made by seniors during their time at Blair. At the Senior Prize Assembly, department chairs presented special academic awards and subject prizes, recognized some of the School’s most outstanding athletes and celebrated the accomplishments of senior leaders across campus.

  • Theatre Teacher Performs in Local Production of ‘Our Town’

    Though she is often working behind the scenes of Blair student productions on campus, this spring, English and theatre teacher Micki Kaplan McMillan can be seen center stage in a local production of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town. Ms. McMillan will join the Country Gate Players of Belvidere, New Jersey, for a three-show run of the Pulitzer Prize-winning play.

  • Players’ Open-Air Production Portrays Life in ‘Barely Existing’ Maine Town

    The Blair Academy Players will present Almost, Maine by John Cariani on May 14, 15 and 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the Robert J. Evans Open Air Theatre.
