Vocal Music

Blair’s Vocal Music program provides students with a complete musical experience through performance and academic study.

Students have the opportunity to join a choral ensemble and/or take private voice lessons. Through both courses of study, students learn sight-singing skills, improve their musicianship and develop their vocal technique. All levels of experience are welcome!

Nate Widelitz, director of vocal music, is a summa cum laudegraduate of the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music with a bachelor's degree in vocal arts. He holds a master's degree in choral conducting from the Yale School of Music. Mr. Widelitz sang professionally in the Los Angeles area and, as a Fulbright scholar, studied Bulgarian folk music during a year in Sofia, Bulgaria.

For more information about performing arts at Blair, or if you are interested in bringing a group to the Blair stage, please contact Mr. Widelitz at (908) 362-6121, ext. 5670.
