With winter weather in full force on January 19, Blair's Romano Dining Hall was transformed into Hollywood for the annual Winter Ball. This year’s theme, “Hooray for Hollywood,” gave students the opportunity to walk the red carpet and dance the night away.

As the festive evening began, underclassmen gathered in the Chiang Center for Innovation and Collaboration for red-carpet refreshments, while seniors enjoyed mocktails at Sharpe House with Head of School Chris Fortunato and his wife, Erin. Students then entered the dining hall, which had been transformed by Hollywood-themed decorations that a committee of 40 dedicated parents created especially for the Winter Ball. According to Andee Ryerson, associate dean of students, the hard work of the parent volunteers is what makes this event one of Blair’s annual highlights.

“The Winter Ball is always one of my favorite events, mainly due to the dedication of the parent volunteers,” Mrs. Ryerson said. “To see how they come together as a team to create this experience for our students year after year is nothing short of spectacular, and I know students will carry the memory with them for years to come.”

The Winter Ball is a beloved Blair tradition that never fails to bring warmth to the cold month of January. To see more pictures from the Winter Ball, please click here.
