Friday marked a celebration of the arts at Blair Academy, with the Armstrong-Hipkins Center for the Arts at the heart of the evening’s events. Before the school community gathered in DuBois Theatre for the Spring Concert, Blair’s visual artists took their moment to shine. In the Romano Gallery, the Advanced Student Art Exhibition showcased the talents and creativity of the School’s upper-level studio art students, offering an intimate glimpse into their hard work and growth.
This year marked a new chapter for advanced art students, who embraced fresh challenges through a reimagined curriculum that replaced the traditional Advanced Placement (AP) track. With greater artistic freedom and the chance to shape their own portfolios, students produced meaningful work that reflected their personal voice and technical development. Following the exhibition, these artists joined an audience in DuBois Theatre, where they had the opportunity to speak about their creative journeys and the pieces they presented.
The evening was captured in a visual essay by Director of School Photography Tyson Trish, documenting the vibrant intersection of visual art and community.
