All In The Campaign for Blair Academy 2018-2025
All Eyes on Peddie Week

As the fall athletics season nears its end, Blair’s campus is buzzing with more spirit than ever. Peddie Week has taken over the hilltop with themed dress days, senior pranks and one simple motto—BEAT PEDDIE! On Saturday, November 8, the Buccaneers will face off against the Peddie Falcons Chickens for the 122nd year of spirited competition, all vying for the coveted Kelley-Potter Cup.

“As much about community pride and school spirit as it is about the athletic competition, Peddie Day (or Blair Day, as Peddie refers to it) is a quintessential boarding school tradition shared by generations of Bucs and Falcons,” Head of School Peter G. Curran P’27 ’27 shares.

The festivities are already in full swing on the hilltop! On Monday morning, 12th-grade students gathered for Senior Sunrise, complete with first looks (and tastes) from the new Buccaneer Bistro food truck, which served up breakfast as students celebrated the start of Peddie Week, the fall and the senior giving initiative. After classes, competitions kick off at 4 p.m., with the JV girls’ tennis team battling Peddie for the first point of the year.

The week’s schedule is packed with Spirit Days, Tuesday’s tailgate, banner making, the senior dinner on Thursday, and the beloved Peddie Eve pep rally and bonfire on Friday. These time-honored traditions, passed down through generations of Bucs, remain some of the most memorable moments of the fall semester.

Then, on Saturday, the Bucs take the fields and courts to battle it out for the Kelley-Potter Cup. A full schedule and map of the day follow. Track live scoring throughout the day via this link (mobile only).
