The Blair community celebrated its 11th-annual Day of Giving on April 9 in true style, with Buc spirit on display campuswide and an impressive $430,520 raised, proving that the School is at its best when we are “Together for Blair.” Every donor had the opportunity to designate their support to what matters most to them, from academics and scholarship to health and well-being and everything in between.

In total, the School received 729 gifts toward the Blair Fund from students, faculty, staff members, alumni, parents, grandparents and friends. The number of gifts well exceeded the advancement office’s goal of 684 gifts, one for each member of the campus community.

“Today showcased the incredible collective generosity of the Blair community—Bucs everywhere showed up in a big way. It’s a great day to be a Buc,” shared Director of Annual Giving Scott Kushner as the final totals were still being tallied.

The community celebrated Day of Giving on campus with giveaways, treats in Meerwarth Courtyard and an impressive display of goodies at lunch, capped off with a senior study break in the Can at night with the Buccaneer Food Truck on hand. Blair wear was on full display, and Director of School Photography Tyson Trish manned the photo booth to memorialize the occasion.

“Day of Giving embodies our shared commitment to advancing our mission and preserving all that is best about Blair for another 178 years,” Head of School Peter G. Curran P’27 ’27 said in a message to the community. “Whether you donate, spread the word or simply show your school pride, you are paying forward your own Blair experience and contributing to the strength of our community.”

The Blair Fund is one of the School’s most important fundraising initiatives. Providing day-to-day support for many aspects of Blair including: academics; athletics; arts; campus life; equity, inclusion and belonging (EIB); and scholarships, the Blair Fund strengthens and ensures a robust academic and extracurricular experience for today’s students and faculty. To continue the tradition of excellence, the School relies upon consistent financial support. Any gift, no matter the size, enhances the Blair community.
