Peddie Week 2018 has arrived! Activities are planned throughout the week in the lead-up to Peddie Day, Saturday, November 3, when the Bucs will take on the arch-rival Falcons in Blairstown during a day of athletic contests. School spirit is at an all-time high, with themed dress-up days and a host of other community events in the works to remind every member of the Blair family why it’s great to be a Buc.
Students kicked off the week on Sunday by decorating banners to hang around campus. Starting today, the community will get even more festive with these themed dress-up days:
Monday - Meme Day
Tuesday - Tailgate Tuesday
Wednesday - Halloween (Costume Day)
Thursday - Twin Day
Friday - Blair Wear Day
Throughout the week, students and teachers will celebrate the 115-year Blair-Peddie rivalry with many traditions that have carried through the years, such as the senior class decorating the campus. On Thursday night, members of the class of 2019 will host a special dinner at which students share memories and swap stories. Following the dinner, a traditional rally will be held at Sharpe House, home of Head of School Chris Fortunato, which will culminate in Mr. Fortunato’s motivational speech to all athletes and spectators. Friday is traditionally the most action-packed day of the week, with School Meeting featuring spirited announcements, including English and performing arts teacher Craig Evans' annual rousing "Beat Peddie!" speech.
Due to the forecasted weather, the bonfire will take place on Thursday instead of Friday.
This upcoming week is filled with many exciting activities and events that Blair family members near and far won’t want to miss! Check Blair’s website and social media channels daily, as we will continue to share photos and videos.
