With only one more sleep until Peddie Day, Blair’s campus is swirling with camaraderie and the unstoppable BEAT PEDDIE spirit! What started as a small school competition in 1903 has become the oldest prep school rivalry in New Jersey—now encompassing 11 fall sports matchups. Busses of athletes and fans will make the journey to Hightstown Saturday morning, hoping to have their hands a little bit fuller on the return as they bring the Kelley-Potter Cup back to its rightful home. If you are joining the festivities at Peddie, please be sure to stop by the Parent and Alumni Hospitality Tent located near the football field to experience the tradition, sportsmanship and fun!
Tonight, a week filled with Peddie high jinks and good-natured fun culminates in the iconic pep rally, where the Blair community will pack into the field house to cheer on a series of student skits highlighting the spirit of Peddie Day—sure to bring the audience to tears of laughter. Due to unseasonably dry weather and a statewide fire ban, the customary bonfire has been replaced with a surprise event on the turf for students to enjoy.
For those who can’t make the journey to Hightstown this year, we know you will be there in spirit and welcome you to follow along with live score updates on our website throughout the day. The JV girls’ tennis team commenced the athletic competitions Wednesday with a valiant effort, but came up short with a 0-5 loss to the Falcons. See below for a full schedule of Saturday’s activities, and as you get some rest this evening, remember, BEAT PEDDIE!
